We will also spend some time in the medieval seaside town of Šibenik, exploring its UNESCO World Heritage Site and
visiting one of the world’s oldest power plants, built by Nikola Tesla. Lunch will be served in the small, picturesque town of
Skradin, one of the oldest settlements in Croatia. In the afternoon, we’ll venture back to the island for a shakedown, where
you’ll have a chance to familiarize yourself with the equipment, get into the water, and take the first paddle strokes of your
10-day adventure.

3.dayKICKOFF—KRAPANJ

The glow of the sunrise, the smell of pine trees, crystal clear water, and an abundance of seagulls tell us that it’s time to kick
off the paddling part of our journey. After breakfast, we’ll explore hidden coves and local sea life, stopping on shore to hike
to some breathtaking island viewpoints. Lunch will be provided on the island of Krapanj, famous for two things: its status as
the lowest-altitude inhabited island in Europe, and its sponge-hunting tradition which dates back more than 300 years. After
lunch, we’ll cruise between the islands and back along the coastline, exploring local culture and daily life as we go. Upon
arrival at the hotel, the rest of the day will be at leisure.

Meals included: B, L
Accommodation: Hotel Koralj
Total mileage: 13 NM

4.dayMEDITERRANEAN LEGACIES—VODICE, PRVIĆ

The numerous old settlements along the Dalmatian coastline have a rich Croatian history. Our first stop today is Vodice, a
Mediterranean town which has witnessed the fame and power of both the Roman and Ottoman Empires, leaving many
archaeological sites that survive to this day. Here you’ll have time to explore the town and enjoy some local food in your
choice of numerous restaurants. After a couple more miles of paddling, our next stop will be the island Prvić. Have you ever
been skydiving? Today we’ll show you who made that possible with a visit to the Faust Vrančić Memorial Center, named
after the Prvić native who invented the parachute; his many inventions can be seen at the center. After returning to your hotel,
you will have the option to head back out and explore the local nightlife (if you still have some energy left!). You can go to
either Šibenik or Vodice, and we will pick you up at a time of your choosing. Just go easy on the drinks—tomorrow is a big
paddling day!

Zmajan, Obonjan, and Tijat, with a stop for picnic lunch on the island of Zmajan. This island has no settlements, so it’s a
perfect place for a short hike to get to one of the tops for an amazing view of the area. After lunch, we’ll indulge in a little
island exploration of the area, and hop to the island of Tijat, an amazing snorkeling spot. Later, it’s back to the hotel to get
some rest. Tomorrow we will leave Zlarin for Murter.

see why donkeys have special place in this town. Our lunch stop is in Tisno, a picturesque settlement from the 13th century.
We’ll make a short stop here, then we’ll cruise along the island to arrive at our destination, Murter. You will be
accommodated in a nice private guest house near the center of town. After checking in, you’ll have some leisure time to
explore the town on your own.

where we will have our lunch break. After lunch, you’ll have time to explore the island or take a well-deserved break for
swimming, snorkeling, or sun bathing. The Adriatic Sea is one of the clearest and cleanest in the world, so today we’ll
venture under the surface and see what treasures might be hiding there. Upon arrival back on Murter, we will wrap up another
day with a leisurely dinner in the center of town.

G. B. Shaw

stunning parks in all of Europe, containing 89 islands, rocks, and reefs. We’ll also get close to Dugi Otok and its Nature Park
Telašćica, blessed with dramatic cliffs which rise up to 600 feet. Lunch will be served in a nearby restaurant run by local
experts in Croatian cuisine. The density of islands in this area allows us to explore many spots with ease; we’ll make sure one

NOTE:

SAFETY
The area covered by this tour is the most island-dense area in the Adriatic, with an average distance between islands of only about a half-mile, and there are many islands and coves along our route. The proximity of the mainland offers protection from wind, waves, and unpredictable weather. However, in a case of emergency, the Coast Guard is only a few minutes away at any given point on the tour. In addition, we have a speedboat for support. Wearing a PFD is mandatory whenever we are on the water. Please also understand that we will be asking you frequently to drink enough water! Hydration is important.

FOOD
Croatian cuisine is based on meat and fish, and we will serve you mostly traditional food. If you have dietary needs or food restrictions, please let us know when booking your tour. Vegetarians and vegans, you are more than welcome to request what you would like to see on the menu and we will do our best to blend traditional cuisine into your meals.

This itinerary is subject to change due to group abilities, weather, water levels, or special events of interest, and to avoid unnecessary risk or discomfort. In the case of severe weather, we reserve the right to conduct alternate and/or substituted programing
